Colour Schemes!
Here are 3 colour schemes plus a list of neutrals to help you with your accessory colour selection.  So, let's go!

1.  Monochromatic Colour Scheme
This is when you use one colour along with it's tint ( adding white to it) or it's shade (adding black).  Most people like to match their accessories to their garments making this the most popular scheme.

2.  Adjacent or Analogous Harmonies
As the name suggests, this scheme creates beautiful colour harmonies - making this my favorite scheme!
It is when you take a colour then look to the colours BESIDE it on the colour wheel.  For example - the colours adjacent blue are blue-violet and violet on one side and blue-green and green on the other.  This scheme is more colourful than the first but not as colourful as the next!

3.  Complimentary Colour Scheme
It is when you take a colour and look to its opposite on the colour wheel.  An example is yellow and it's opposite is violet.  A very energetic and vibrant scheme that should be used with caution.  However using it sparingly will allow you to show your personality!

Neutrals - what can I say about them.  They are the "colours" that don't compete with pure hues.  Colours like black, brown, taupe, tan, ivory, white, grey and navy play "second fiddle" allowing the bright colours shine!

There are other schemes but I thought I'd present these ones to you. I think it's time to get that colour wheel from your local craft store and start playing with COLOUR!!!
Cheers!!!
